One Dress Four Looks

For those of you who missed our piece on Xpose last week, we had to share these photos with you. Styled by the fabulous Cathy O’Connor, we took one dress and gave it four different ways to wear it. We used one of the new dresses from the Diva collection, the Rachael dress in Hot Coral but to be honest we could have used any one of the Diva dresses, as this is where their strength lies.

Diva is one of those magic labels. They sell to women aged 25 to 75, they are timeless, classic, elegant dresses that fit like a dream and are so comfortable to wear. You can wear them to any different number of occasions and any woman who adds one Diva to her wardrobe, will add another two or three in record time!!

For our first look, we showed a work/interview look. We simply put a crisp white shirt underneath the dress and added a smart black jacket over it. Slip into your black heels, grab a black bag and you’re sure to impress any boss, or any potential client, with your savvy, chic, tailored look.

Our second look was a more relaxed daytime look, maybe for a nice catch up lunch with friends or just fancy dressing a little smarter for your usual day time activities (I’m not suggesting doing the hoovering, but you know what I mean!) Just add a comfy cardigan, a nice lace scarf and a big neutral bag and head off wherever it is you’re going.

Our third look was a more formal daytime look, perfect for going to a communion/confirmation which are hot topics this month. This smart structured white jacket is by Caroline Kilkenny and is a real wardrobe staple, it will go with anything. We added a bright floral print bag and a glitzy pair of heels to dress up the look and give a touch of glamour.

For our fourth look, we wanted to dress things up a little more and show how this dress will take you from work to a wedding. This fabulous headpiece adds real drama to the dress and gives great colour contrast. Tie in the blue with a pair of matching coloured shoes and a scarf to bring the whole look together.

Coral is a hot favourite this season and is one of those great colours that suits almost every complexion and colouring. As you can see from the images, it’s also a colour that works with almost every other colour palette. It’s sharp and chic with black, it’s soft and calm with beiges and creams and it’s dramatic with contrasting strong colours like the royal blue. It also creates great impact with cerise pink or yellow. It’s THE colour this summer, so be sure to add something to your wardrobe in this gorgeous shade.
