New Mother of the Bride Spring Arrivals

new mother of the bride

I can’t believe a year has passed since I wrote last year’s post about all the new mother of the bride arrivals for Spring/Summer weddings. For the rest of the world, December is about Christmas and snuggling up in warm cosy knits. In Vanity Fair, December is all about 2018 weddings. I remember last July when we were buying all the 2018 wedding stock being blown away by the choice, and now that the deliveries have started, the excitement is building all over again.

Most importantly, the one you’ve all been waiting for, Veni Infantino has arrived. We put it on the floor yesterday, and two outfits sold immediately. For the last three or four seasons, this label has broken many hearts. It sells out so fast that by the time February comes it is practically gone. We’ve had a waiting list for it since September and all those customers have been called, so we’re expecting a bit of a stampede this weekend.

This is not a sales speech! Even if your wedding is not until the summer, if Veni is what you want, then now is when you need to buy! Condici has also arrived and is taking centre stage on the shop floor. Another firm favourite, this label exudes class. We’re waiting on one more style to arrive, but again, what is already here, won’t last long. Ispirato has also been delivered. Fabulous dresses, simple and chic, at a great price point, this label again is always a winner.

There are a few new styles from Teresa Ripoll this season. Nobody does sophistication quite like this designer. We have also repeated many of her designs that customers seek year after year, timeless pieces. This small family run business has gained international recognition for being a go-to label when you need to stand out from the crowd in a subtle way.

Speaking of standing out from the crowd, Mashiah has also arrived. If you want to be guaranteed a show stopper, then this is the label for you. These dresses won’t appeal to everyone, you can either pull them off or you can’t! You need a big personality, and you need to be confident. Everyone in the room will be talking about you and your dress, that’s for sure. This is by far my all time favourite label, it’s fun, it’s quirky and it screams individuality.

If I had to choose my next favourite, it would undoubtedly be Fely Campo. This designer always brings something fresh and new to the table. Only half the collection has arrived so far, but it is simply stunning. It is young and modern and a little bit edgy, yet it oozes elegance.

We are expecting more deliveries before the year is out from Luis Civit, Cabotine and Zeila, and January will bring other favourites like Aideen Bodkin and Anoola. We also have a couple of new labels this season, so roll on 2018, we are ready and waiting for you.
