It’s been nearly six weeks since we temporarily closed the doors on our beautiful Vanity Fair Boutique. The longest, but yet the fastest six weeks of our lives. What the next six weeks will bring still remains to be seen, but I wanted to keep you updated as to what we are up to at the moment and what our plans are for the future. But firstly, and most importantly, we hope that you and all your loved ones are safe and well.
Our accountant came up with the beautiful term that we are cocooning our business at the moment. Keeping it safe. Giving it time and love and care. So that we can come back stronger than ever. Naturally I cried when he said that, but it has given me direction and clarity and focus. If you’ve been following us on Instagram then you already know what we’ve been up to.
And if you’re not following us, then why not, you’re missing out on all the fun. The regular Try Ons that are such a big part of our feed there still continue. We’ve put a little bit more structure on them during this period. So, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, I’ll be trying on lots of different looks. Most will be comfy casuals, because let’s face it, that’s what we’re all living in these days. But I’ll throw in some glam dressier looks too, just to remind us of happier times to come, when we’ll all be strutting our stuff again. I don’t know about you, but when this is over I’ll be going to every party, every special occasion and I’ll be going all out.
After each try on, there will be the opportunity to purchase any item that you like the look of, through the swipe up feature on Instagram. It’s a new direction for us, the online selling aspect. Anyone that knows me knows how strongly I feel about online retail. I won’t get into it here, the long list of cons I see with it. It’s enough to say that, for me, the best and most important part of my job is customer interaction, the personal touch, the fitting room experience. There’s no comparison. But these are strange times, and it’s forcing me to do strange things. So, we’re dipping our toe into the water of online selling, but in a fun personal way via our Instagram stories. It’s as close as I can get to You, my beautiful customers at the moment.
So join us for some Weekend Style. You will find us on Instagram @vanityfairboutique.
Enjoy the fashion shows and look forward to better times.
They are coming!!
